Ave, maris stella, Dei Mater alma, atque semper virgo, felix coeli porta!
Why subscribe?
Thank you for stopping by! Stella Maris Designs hopes to honor God and Our Lady through beauty and imaginative fun. Here you’ll find original artwork primarily inspired by fantasy, fairytales, and my Catholic Faith.
Due to the nature of art, posts will not be strictly scheduled, though you can expect at least one original artwork per month.
Donations
If you think that Stella Maris is worth supporting, I’d greatly appreciate donations and tips for my work!
Paid Subscriptions:
Paid subscriptions will include higher resolution versions of all my original works, the ability to reply to my posts via email, and my gratitude, as you’ll be enabling me to further my skills and continue creating beautiful art to honor God. Feel free to let me know if you have any prayer intentions!
About me:
I’d rather let art speak than myself! However, since you might like to know a little about me, I’m a Catholic artist in Florida; I love the traditional Latin Mass; Our Lord as the Daystar and Our Lady as Star of the Sea; my zany tabby cat named Kaboodle, and, as you can see, creating and admiring beautiful art! Some of my favorite artistic movements include art nouveau, pre-Raphaelite, art deco, and romanticism, as well as traditional illustration.
My own style leans towards the latter through mixed media - first a hand-drawn sketch, then (usually) digitally coloring it.
My artwork has found a usefulness in the covers for Therese Judeana’s trilogy, Ransom: Shadow of an Empire, her recent beginning of Windswept: The Dragon and the Dove here on Substack and the printed version, as well as Grace Bourget’s novels, particularly the recently published Ad Maré: Song of the Pleiades.
I also recently created an artwork for
, for the wonderful Lay of Merialeth. You can read more about it and the artwork here. You can also find my artwork for sale on Pixels and Printify!
Otherwise, I enjoy drawing simply for the sake of art - redesigns of costumes from film, fashion design, animals, flowers. . .
I hope you’ll enjoy my work! If you find yourself appreciating Stella Maris, I’d appreciate your support via donation or paid subscriptions, which will help me to continue my work and continue improving my skills. Thank you!
Commissions
I am accepting commissions! You can view a list of prices, considered “suggested donations,” here:
I’m considering the next six months - July 17th, 2024 to January 17th, 2025 inclusive - as a trial period: in this limited time, rather than the prices you see listed in the official table, the flat rate for major illustrations and artworks will be capped off at $326.98 for cover art, $190.74 for full color illustrations, and $74.93 for black and white illustrations. Prices for smaller works remain unchanged. If these prices are too high for your budget, I’m happy to negotiate!
Please bear in mind that with my Catholic Faith, there are many things which I will not draw and works which I will not support, and I have a strict guideline for what clothing any figures may wear. You’ll find more details in the document, as well. If this is suitable for you, I look forward to working with you!
